Welcome to my Mongolia group tour! This itinerary is designed to give a taste of the country's unique culture and stunning landscapes. We'll start in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar before heading out to Western Mongolia. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
Day 1 July 8th
Arrival in Mongolia, welcomed by Bek Travel team at the airport in UB, drive to Edelweiss Hotel in location convenient to walk to Sukhbaatar Square, Choijin Lama Monastery, and State Department Store. Free day to discover city and buy cashmere. People can eat dinner in Edelweiss Hotel and charge bill to room.
Day 4 July 11
Drive out of Olgii to Khoton and Khurgan lakes area, after 5 hours of drive arrival at Kazakh nomadic family, where our base yurt/ger will have hot shower and toilets. Kazakh welcome ceremony of five finger’s feast.
Day 2 July 9
Pick up from hotel after breakfast, drive to airport and fly to Olgii. Welcomed by Bek Travel team at Olgii airport, taken to your yurt camp, check in, out to lunch, and then to archery competition. Dinner at Turkish restaurant in Olgii, stay in Dostyk hotel in Olgii for one night to get prepared for the upcoming adventure. Last minute shopping, spa with massage, shower, and local market all available.
Day 5 July 12
We will hike to Baga Turgen waterfall which is also called small Switzerland by the locals. The valley where you will see the waterfall is so beautiful with its nature, snow capped mountain background, trees, rock rivers and most beautifully the nomadic families living in their gers/yurts makes it more beautiful. We will return to base and stay in gers.
Day 3 July 10
Today we will see Naadam opening ceremony in local Stadium in Olgii and see Mongolian wrestling competition. For lunch we will eat Khuushuur ( for vegetarian we will cook at our camp). In the afternoon we will drive to horse racing site to show you horse racing. Barbeque for dinner at the camp. Stay at your yurt camp.
Day 6 July 13
We will drive to a Balbal site, ancient burial mounds, see stone men and rock arts site at Khairakhti Valley to see rock arts from Bronze Age. We will also do UAZ VAN self drive experience. Return to our base and stay in yurts.
Day 7 July 14
We will drive from lakes area to Kharangat Valley to meet with a Kazakh eagle hunter family. Stay in yurts there, meet with eagle hunter and have close up opportunity and photographs with eagles.
Day 10 July 17
Fly out of Olgii to Ulaanbaatar. Picked up from the airport in Ulaanbaatar and drive to Edelweiss hotel, checked into Edelweiss hotel and after that go to see Tumen-Enkh ensemble performance and have dinner at Korean restaurant. Stay at Edelweiss hotel.
Day 8 July 15
We will ride on horses and go to mountains to see the eagle’s performance, how an eagle does real hunting in winter time. Photo opportunity and interactive experience. We will ride back to the family and stay in our yurts.
Day 11 July 18
Fly out of Ulaanbaatar to home countries. ( Bek Travel team will do all airport transfers)
Day 9 July 16
We will drive back to Olgii, stay in our camp, have hot shower once more and have farewell barbeque party. Stay in yurts.

Let me explain how I came to host this group trip. I am a solo traveler, but some places in the world are hard to navigate. Mongolia intimidated me and I just didn't know how to even start. In comes a group trip led by local Kazakh Mongolians and the rest is history.
